  1. Firstly your handout was beautiful, it helped to see what you were talking about with clear and short and to the point topics that you were and going to discuss. Prior to your presentation I hadn't known who Tim Burton was. Seeing most of his movies and now realizing who he is I can clearly see the message he was putting out there and why his characters were the way they were. One thing that could of been improved was your reasoning's, you had a very strong reasoning against bullying but the others were not as strong. I was able to assume your reasoning on both "Against War" and "Death" reasoning but it was not as clearly stated as bullying.

  2. the thing that I liked the most about your presentation is the information you gave us. you went into detail about him and how he thinks along with the kind of work he does.
The thing that I think could have been better was the comparison. What I mean is that I would have liked more depth to it. You informed us that Tim has a somewhat "darker" personality while the other guy was more upbeat. But I would've liked more examples in the comparison.

  3. This presentation was excellent. They way Alex and Miranda explained how Tim Burton is a good influence was great. They had strong points, connections between Edward Scissorhands and himself, and his feelings towards war, bullying and suicide. Overall a great presentaion.

one thing that I noticed was how they focused on only one of his films. He has multiple films that i was curious about and wasn't really explained. I think if they explained just a bit more on his other films, this presentation would have been perfect.

  4. I think the way you guys worked together was a real strength you guys knew what you were talking about and you were very confident about it. You had a really great handout and powerpoint. I learned a lot from your presentation because I really didn't know much about Tim Burton but now I do. I think that your examples could've been more developed I got a little lost on the meaning behind them. You did later explain them when you were finished presenting them but I wish you would've explained more while you were presenting. As a whole you guys did really well presenting you were confident and spoke with enthusiasm. You guys did a really great job!

  5. One thing that I really enjoyed (probably the most) was how you compared Tim Burton to his movies. I really had the feeling that he was making himself into his movies and not simply making movies that he thinks other people can compare to. That is one reason why I really love Burton. I also loved how you brought up how he was against bullying, and in the trailer it was present how bullying was in a major part of Edward Scissorhands. It showed how he and everyone else can get through the negativity that surrounds everyone.
I think if you guys would have had a little more talking back and forth that would have been nice.

  6. I think you worked very well together. I liked how you explained the meanings of Tim Burton's movies. With bullying being a big part of everyday lives, it is important to have a person in our modern society to give a voice to it.

  13. I did not realize how much his childhood growing up actually affected the way he produced his characters. You went on to clarify how he was against suicide which is what I was confused about at the beginning. You were both confident in the information that you presented which is great for the audience. The powerpoint and verbal presentation was amazing and eye catching.
