journal two from Patrick

My name is Patrick Johnson I grew up in a little town called Ashley.  Then I moved to Marion when I was in fifth grade.  I went to pleasant up to my senior year. I was in the marching band I played the base drum. when I was in tenth grade i built a working ballista and a catapult thats my fun fact.
when the war came to their village they where not there. because they left a couple days before their village was attacked. my theme is that they care about their family and that they agreed to go back and see if there family got out alive. to me that is courage and strength and shows how strong they care about the people they know and love.

    i completely agree with you, i think that this book really shows how courageous these kids are and how much they love their family.

    I agree also. It would take a lot of courage to go back, but it shows how much they care about their family.

    i agree i would have done the same thing went back to see if my family was still alive before i started walking though the forest

    I agree that they have extreme courage and strength. His family is very important to him.

    I feel as if their parents are their last hope and something that they are trying to cling on to to keep going and survive. Also it sounds really cool that you made a catapult. What was it made out of because I have made one as well?
